April 17th ~ We Are Slient

On Thursday, April 17, students in grades 5-12 will be given the opportunity to participate in Silent Day. The amount of time that each student is silent for will be completely up to them but may be anywhere from one hour to four hours. If you are going silent for one hour, it must be the first hour of the day, if going silent for two hours then it will be first and second hour...etc. You will need to choose something to go silent for—i.e. "I am going silent for poverty". You will need to pick up a pledge form from the main office and have it returned by next Wednesday (16th). If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Eckel.

Hands of Hope Initiative

The Eagle Valley We Day Committee along with the EV Girl Scouts are asking for all Eagle Valley students to collect items for those in need and donate them to the Hands of Hope organization. The groups have placed boxes in each classroom (K-12), to collect donations. Students will be able to bring in their items and place them in these boxes. Items include most personal hygiene items (i.e. shampoo, body wash, soap bars, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, facial tissues, etc.). This program will be starting on Thursday, April 10th and ending on April 30th. A pizza party will be given to the class that collects the most amount of items by the time this program is over.

Kids need to put their items in the corresponding classrooms' drop off box. For grades 5-12 the items will need to be place in their advisors' classroom.
Thanks so much for supporting both our Eagle Valley student efforts and the Hands of Hope Organization.
